Mahatma Gandhi
Mahatma Gandhi was a man who was born on October 2, 1869 in Porbander(Gujarata). His father was a prime minster or adviser of the local ruler. Gandhi's father died before Gandhi had finished his education and at the age of 13 he married Kasturba who was the same age as him. Years later Gandhi had written an autobiography titled The Story of My Experimentswith Truth. In the year 1888 Gandhi had sailed to England in where he pursued his degree as a lawyer, he had also left his son Harilal behind during this time. Mahatma enrolled into the high court of London but later than decided to leave to India. In India Gandhi wasn't very successful so he later decided to join Dada Abdulla and his legal advisers. At this time Gandhi's first job/ work issue was to give Indians their rights both in India and South Africa. During his journey in South Africa Gandhi was booted off of a train that was first class even though he had the rights to be on the train. During this period of time Indians were forced to carry a passport in South Africa, and this would also allow the officers to identify them and know personal information. Gandhi had accomplished in about twenty years.
After Gandhi had accomplished his goal in South Africa, he had committed to fight involving no violence. He became a very well known leader. Gandhi had marched in order to show the British that he was going to do what he wanted and not what others wanted him to do. He had used salt in order to symbolize this march, after the march was done he was arrested. Shortly after he was released out of jail he was taken to the London Round Table Conference in where they were to discuss about the India Constitution reform. A year after this event Gandhi had granted India's Independence. After this was granted the Muslims and Hindus began to rebel against each other, and this had caused Gandhi to fast. Throughout this Gandhi was starting to get ill due to the fasting. These two groups were being informed that Gandhi was fasting and was starting to get ill, therefore they had stopped fighting each other. Gandhi had been informed of their decisions and decided to stop fasting. After these issues were controlled, Gandhi was assisted by an anger Hindu this had happened because the Hindus thought Gandhi was choosing Muslims over them. The Hindus thought Gandhi was too nice to the Muslims this built a type of jealousy in the Hindus.
"When I despair, I remember that all throughout history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invisible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it always." Gandhi was a man who had faced any challenge and who was always victorious in any challenge that he faced. He was a man who didn't involve violence in what he did. In this quote it states that "..all throughout history the way of truth and love has always won.." he demonstrated this when the Hindus and Muslims were fighting, because he made them realize that all the fighting that was going on was pointless and that he would stop fasting only if they stopped all the fighting between them. Gandhi had lived demonstrating this quote because he fought for many things in which they had fallen while others were going on and those would also fall. The issues Gandhi faced were like the murderers that would fall because Gandhi had done everything in order to fix the problems. Gandhi would always put love first before violence.
